About Ayusa-Intrax
Information and history of Ayusa-Intrax in English
Our German office was founded in 1990 as a high school exchange organization under the name AYUSA International GmbH (AYUSA = Academic Year in the USA). In 2011 we changed our name to Ayusa-Intrax to show our affiliation to our parent company, Intrax. Our committed staff in the Berlin office have extensive experience in educational and cultural exchange programs. Over the last 20 years, our selection of programs has extended beyond just high school exchanges.
Today, Ayusa-Intrax organizes meaningful programs for about 2,000 young Germans in 19 different countries on six continents per year. Ayusa-Intrax prides itself on premium programs resulting in high customer satisfaction and excellent referral rates. Supported by a national network of about 90 representatives, Ayusa-Intrax Germany offers the following programs for Germans to go abroad: Au pair, high school exchange, language classes, internships, volunteering and work & travel. Aside from these outbound programs, our non-profit branch AYUSA International e.V. also organizes a high school exchange and an au pair program to Germany.
Ayusa-Intrax is part of Intrax Cultural Exchange, an international exchange organization with its headquarters in San Francisco. Founded in 1980, Intrax today has over 1,300 Student Support staff, 100 dedicated Partner Services staff, regional offices in 8 countries, and a presence in more than 80 countries. Intrax is proud to welcome more than 20,000 participants into its programs each year.
