Sarah in Panorama Mountain Village
Dear Ms. Lutz,
so, after 5 months full of snow, cold and Canadian beer I shared with my co-workers from all over the world from Australia, Newzealand, Japan to Finland and not at least some guys from the wildernis of Ontario my time at Panorama Mountain Village is finished.
I had such a blast here and this small spot hidden in Kootenay Mountains will always be kept in my mind as a place where I met amazing people, made friendships which will give me the chance to find a place to stay anytime among good friends in the hot South of Australia, the cold North of the home of the Kiwis but also near my home-Switzerland and the UK. I'm grateful I've made this experience and never regret it anytime!! I improved my language skills in English, got to know the business of a re sort, could experience great Canadian powder snow and learned that it is all about the people!
Now I'm back at my homestay in Vancouver to enjoy the last few days here in Canada. The sun is shining almost every day and it easily reaches 25 to 30 degrees. I suppose that must be a great change for someone who spend a whole winter in the mountains and almost freezed her toes off but it's still way too warm for me and I wish I could just grab my skis and go riding to enjoy the View of thousand Peaks! :)
I'm gonna catch my flight next Friday back home and than: back to reality and starting university! A totally new way in my life but hopefully I can come back one day to work in Vancouver or even better Whistler!!
Thank you so much for making me experience this journey! I'll never forget it!
With kind regards,
Sarah
