Moritz - 4 Wochen Kurs und Unterkunft in einer Gastfamilie
"I am studying English because English skills are very important in Germany to get a good job. I want study physics and in the science it is essential to have good English skills, because you write all scientific articles or publications in English.
My class at Intrax was excellent. My teachers were great and very nice and also the other students. Good ideas are the elective classes, because you have a lot of options and different topics. You learn a lot and the speed is exactly correct. Sometimes you learn from a book, you play little games or you have a discussion in your class. This varied learning is the best way to improve your English skills in a good and funny atmosphere in the classroom.
My favorite Intrax activities are Pub Night, ice hockey and ice-skating, but all activities are great. In breaks I take my lunch or talk with friends. After school I meet with friends or make sport or do other staff. On the weekends are a lot of parties and much fun. We have enough time for sightseeing, sport or other things. You have so many options. Sometimes you stay at home for a day and do nothing, because you need a brake from the parties ;-)
I like my home stay! They are very friendly and I get enough to eat and have a nice room for me. My home stay family lives in North Vancouver and it is close to the school, but if you do an internship it may be too far away.
My best experience is the city itself. In Vancouver all people are very nice and helpful. You never have problems with anybody and the city is very save. If you a good weather gleam Vancouver is like a diamante and around the city you have a wonderful landscape to explore. You have so many options for activities in the city and outside of the city. Try to come in summer and if you come during wintertime…don’t forget an umbrella. Seriously: Vancouver is a great choice. If you are European it is even better for you, because in Vancouver there are not so many people from Europe so that you need to speak English. If you come from South America or Asia you will have much contact with your own language and that may be not so good for your English skills. Actually, you are here to improve your English skills, so don’t forget to speak English, please!"
